About

ManagementStudio

From our humble beginnings as an application workflow manager to a feature rich solution for the Enterprise, we work hard everyday to create the best software for managing your transformations and operations. This is ManagementStudio over the years.

OUR STORY

OVER THE YEARS

Our story began with the desire to change the status quo and provide a better way for organisations to manage internal IT processes. We started with applications but we didn’t rest. Instead we embraced all the trends of the last decade to help hundreds of customers manage change programmes easily and more efficiently.

The Team

We’re a small team with an unusually large collection of guitars and ukuleles!  We have a wealth of experience across different sectors that accumulates into the product and services we offer today.

Justin Pickup
Director & Business Development

Justin came from an application packaging background as one of the founding directors of a niche application migration consultancy. His role there was to develop the teams and processes that would reduce the costs and timescales of large-scale application migration projects. After leaving the company in 2002, Justin developed the first iteration of AppTracker, an application packaging workflow management tool. Written initially in PHP during evenings and weekends, AppTracker became an important management tool in a number of high profile migration projects.

Ben Cook
Business Development

Ben has been helping organisations with enterprise application delivery and system migrations for over 15 years. Ben then spent four years working as a Technical Pre/Post Sales Consultant with the ChangeBASE team. Ben joined the ManagementStudio team in 2015 as a Senior Product Specialist. His main focus is technical pre-sales but he’s also heavily involved in implementing the solution, customer and partner training, and marketing.

Ben is based in Hackney, London, where he loves to spend time with his family, cook and keep fit through cycling.

Martin Loughnane
Senior Application Developer

Martin has been a developer for over 30 years, working mainly in the microbiological field. He’s created solutions which included product creation and tracking, Quality Control systems, product labelling (complete with EAN barcodes), customer orders and order fulfilment & processing. Other projects include a suite of software that acted as “command and control centre” for small businesses. Martin will be focusing his efforts on enabling ManagementStudio to integrate with new systems, and enhancing the existing integration we have with systems such as Active Directory and SCCM.

Taire Agaga
Product Specialist

Taire has spent nearly 20 years working in End User Computing where he has used his broad range of skills to support the end-user community in multi-national organisations.  He has been involved in several large, complicated projects that have migrated tens of thousands of users to new versions of Windows and Office 365.

Migration has been a constant theme throughout his career and having used MigrationStudio as a customer, he felt that joining the team in 2020 was a natural progression.  His role provides the opportunity to continue supporting organisations with their migration projects whilst getting involved with training and implementation.

Originally from Nigeria, Taire settled in England for the love of a good woman (and to avoid a significant amount of parking fines in his home country).  When he’s not doing a stellar job manning the service desk, he enjoys spending time with his family, swinging heavy weights above his head, and running his microbrewery.

Richard Hynes
Director & Software Architect

A C# developer and technical analyst, Richard spent a number of years working on application migration programmes for some of the major IT Service Suppliers and High Street Banks. The scope of this work was to efficiently migrate large volumes of legacy applications onto new operating systems. This migration and coding experience provided Richard with the expertise and knowledge to begin developing his own workflow management tools. After successfully developing a number of web based applications Richard was ready for his next challenge.

Fraser Norman
Channel Partner Manager

Fraser has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. Initially, working as a draftsperson in a CAD bureau where, Fraser learned the basics of 2D CAD and also new skills in the emerging world of 3D CAD, modelling and animation. This set the scene for a combined technical and commercial move into sales where Fraser helped develop a specialist reseller channel for some of the new 3D animation solutions. Since then he has largely remained in channel development in technically complex areas such as mobile games, server based computing, thin client sales, IT security and application/desktop virtualisation solutions. Fraser joined AppTracker in April of 2016 to help build and develop their channel partner programme.

Dave Coopey
Professional Services

Dave comes to us from a career as a technical project manager working almost exclusively on large transformation projects for many years, the largest and most recent involved over 40 countries on three continents. Sitting at breakfast in India and talking to teams in Australia and Canada at the same time was amazing, the team in Canada were still in the pub from the day before! Dave has used the previous version of ManagementStudio, MigrationStudio, as a client so is very project focussed, he likes the saying “Let’s get it done”.

Prior to that Dave has worked in many sectors including pharmaceuticals, finance, banking, brewing, airports, and public transport. His passion is automation based on workflow, datapoints or timing decisions like email comms plans, freeing project staff up to do what they do best and not repetitive activities that can be easily handled inside ManagementStudio.

Dave lives with his wife and two daughters in Leicestershire and outside of the office has a wide range of interests including sailing, BBQ and guitar.

Matt Walker
Senior Product Specialist

Apart from a stint as a baker, Matt has worked in End User Computing for all of his career and has witnessed incredible change and progression within the industry.  He has been responsible for supporting diverse multi-site estates, developing migration tools, and designing Windows builds for large organisations.  Since 2008, he’s largely worked in pre-sales roles for a variety of system integrators and vendors, specialising in desktop virtualisation and mobility technologies.

Matt joined the team in July 2019 to focus on technical pre-sales and supporting channel partners but is also involved in implementation and training.

Matt now lives in North Staffordshire, famous for world-class pottery, its creative industries and the legendary oatcake (you’ve not lived if you haven’t tried one!). Outside of ManagementStudio, you’ll often find him exploring mountain bike trails with his children or hopelessly trying to perfect his sculling technique.
